Well I am going to start this cause I was told to stimulate my mind, and figure this might be the way to do so. For any readers out there or future readers, this blog will consist of news in the world, our advances in the Technology world, any controversy readers would like to bring up or even question me on. A little about myself: Out of the Chicago land area I am studying computer forensics, and work for a company called Baxter Healthcare at the time being. I love the water and any sports on the water, so if any readers want to ask or talk about wakeboarding, skiing, etc. post it. Any news articles you think I would find interesting, send them to me and I'll post it whether I like it or not. Basically for the readers this site will consist of whats going on in my head...leave it at that...pick at it if you like.

Facebook Under attack! Myspace just lame...

Ok so I am sure some of you have heard about Facebook being attacked with a law suit by some of the developers old school friends. Word on the street is the Developer of Facebook stole the source code from some of his old classmates (which I'm sure he did). If you want to know more on it there are a bunch of news articles out there. Thats not what I'm writing to talk about.

Instead, I want to talk about the controversy that these websites bring about (if you let them). Sites like Facebook, Friendster, Myspace...etc. All these sites for the relationship goers out there just tend to get in the middle. Drama is brought about because a girl from back in the day leaves a message on "the wall" or an ex-fling is still messaging back and forth. One way or another Drama gets stirred into the relationship equation. I think its pretty pathetic on how these sites are destroying our culture in a sense. Yes I agree, they are a great networking tool, and really good if you want to find an old friend. But I have to say I deleted both my facebook and myspace accounts about a year ago now and my life has been so much easier! I don't have old flings calling me up, or ex-girlfriends getting mad when they find out I'm in a new relationship etc. and this isn't just me, allot of my friends have or are going through the same thing. I tell them to just deactivate, but they just can't, its an addictive drug thats hooking to highschool students and up.

Enough ranting, in the short-run, these sites do have their pro's but the cons just add up! Its one thing to check for a message every once and awhile and another to be overly obsessed by waiting for that inbox to say (1)....I just find it a little ridiculous...specially when a relationship is destroyed because of it. The maturity level just isn't there on these sites.

--I think it would be a good start to see facebook taken down--

Let me know...

Entourage, gotta plug it!

So to my readers out there, I have to recommend HBO's Entourage. I started watching this show when it first aired and can't get enough of it. The show is comical, and realistic to some POV's of the Hollywood lifestyle. For those of you stuck under the rock and have yet to hear about it, Entourage is about 2 brothers with their 2 friends from back in the day. The brother, "Drama" used to be on an old show called "Viking Quest" and is now living off his brothers fame trying to dig his way out of his hole and back into the hollywood status. Turtle is one of the old friends that is riding on the fame of his celebrity friend, the driver, wannabe music agent, and a puff puff passer. E (Erik) is Vincent Chase's(the fame of the group) best friend and manager, and brings the show together with his pizza boy out of the bronx attitude and strong headedness. Vincent obviously is the star of the show that the 3 live off of, getting the girls and enjoying the celebrity life with his buddies.

The show is a riot and has allot of cameo appearance by many famous actors, actresses, singers, directors etc. The show has been on for 3 seasons now and the 3rd season part 2 is now in progress being shown on HBO. For all you fans out there, let me know what you think, if you hate it also let me know! But for those of youwho haven't seen, it is well worth it to sit down on sunday nights at 9 on HBO to catch an episode. And don't worry about not seeing the other previous episodes because its a show you can jump right into.

BUWHAHA...ok im sorry...but it is pretty funny!

Students from Hiroshima University’s Higashi-Hiroshima Campus have been unknowingly drinking toilet water since April, 1993.

It took around 80 students getting ill with diarrhea and vomiting before uncovering a plumbing error that sent water for flushing toilets, instead of quality water, to the drinking fountains in the gymnasium.

best part about it all!...the University apologizes for the mix up!

How about you? Ever drink toilet water?

iPhone Bill in a box?

Do you have an iPhone? Well if you do, either get eBilling set up or don't send text messages! Justine Ezarik is one of the many people who rushed out to get the iPhone, she is also one of the many who switched to At&t in order to use the pretty little piece of technology, but she was one of the only ones special enough to receive her bill in a BOX!?!?!?! Ezarik received her bill in the mail the other day, only to notice it was 300 pages long. "This is a lot of waste, It's a cardboard box, a ton of pages, and plus, it was almost $10 to send this, so it does not make any sense." Ezarik said.

Most of the bill consisted of the details of text messages that were sent and received. She has gone on to make a point of paper conservation by posting a video to Apples theme music showing her concern. This video can be seen on Youtube.com or her blog tastyblogsnack.com
The video has already received well over 200,000 hits.

AT&T said it rarely sends bills in a box, and its customers do have the option to be billed online instead of on paper.

DEAL OF THE DAY!!!

Well for the one person that reads this blog your in for a deal!!!....Toys R' Us has leaked BioShock early. If you run ASAP to the nearest Toys R' Us you could get ahold of this deal. People everywhere have been going to the store and not only getting Bioshock before it is released but also at a steal of a price $29.99!! also at this price is Madden 08' which made an appearance on the shelves yesterday. What does this mean for TRU? who knows, but I don't think 2k will be too happy about it. Post It, let me know who got the steal!

A Dispute (lets not make this controversial)

So I've been thinking, thinking about marriage...lame, I'm not that cool. Anyways, I was born and baptized as a catholic and followed the rule of catholicism throughout my 18 years of life due to the strict rule of my mother. I do not regret any of this as it did teach me allot of different thing and I think played a huge role in my life. After I was "confirmed" (accepted) I was given the option of not going to church anymore (not having it shoved down my throat by my mother) and yeah I haven't really been back since. And really I'm kinda torn between what to believe, pretty sure I am more on the level of agnostic.

Blah, lets get this going...So my thinking is when I am married and have those things that run around and cause trouble but oh so much happiness, I would like the kids to be baptized (religion not important right now). However, in a little dispute with some, a child shouldn't be born "into" a religion and rather have the choice when they are older. I don't like that so much, in a way yes I agree, but I think it should follow the heritage, keep the family together, and give a leading line for the members, whether they practice or not, its still a path by choice. And down the road if they choose on there own, they can change there religion or go non-dom. I'm kinda at a blur with all this, even though I don't really have to worry yet, eee at least lets hope not. Let me know some thoughts.

Xbox 360: Bioshock Demo Review

So after a night of drinking I didn't think I would be up for a preview of 2k games new Bioshock, but when I got home I just couldn't resist. Well I can say first of all the first thing that I'm sure any player will notice about this game is the graphics. They are so crisp and fresh, the effects added in also play a huge part in the experience. The water in the first part of the game play looks as if your watching a cut-scene, it is so immense with texture and effect.

The sound in Bioshock is also amazing, adding to the creepiness and scare factor. You could easily pinpoint any sound that you hear because of the detail and reaction to a TV 2 speaker sound system (can't even wait to put it on the 6.1). A poster falling off the wall or a crazy creature sneaking around the corner can all be heard very clear and precise.

Being a first person shooter you have the basic controls and walk-around, but the developers did add a little twist, Plasmids, Plasmids get injected into to you to give you a different kinds of energy bounding abilities. One that you see in the demo is the ability to shoot electricity from your fingertips. Shooting these bolts into the water will kill anything presently in the water. Also electrocuting a door switch to overide it, and this is where we see how the developers have add that extra little puzzle. You'll eventually realize that you have to use these plasmids not only against enemies but also to help you into new parts of the game. Now I'm not going to spoil anything but I will say that bolts from the fingertips is not the only plasmid as the video at the end of the demo shows quite a few more that look to make the game very unique.

The creatures in Bioshock are extremely creepy and distinct in their features. From what I came across in the demo, I met the splicer, who I have yet to figure out, I just know they kinda look human but have messed up abilities and just want to rip you apart any chance they get. There are also bots that fly around that want to shred you with there chain guns, and of course the most known one, the Big Daddies, which you don't come in contact with too much in the demo but you do get to see there awesome power as they are most likely the most feared in the game. All the enemies do have a creepiness to them and are varied much.

Now I have been waiting for awhile for this game and yes I am one of the select few to download the demo even thought the game is out for sale on Aug 21st, but it was well worth it even if it did take 10 hours to download! Even if your not a big fan of FPS the graphics alone are an excuse to play the demo.

What the word on the street?

PS>Didn't want to go to much into the story of the game as I didn't want to spoil anyones fun in the demo...go experience it yourself, let me know what you think.

Yahoo taking down the Google Competition?

So as I am sure some of you have heard, for the first time yet Yahoo has one up'd Google. According to a customer application survey released today Yahoo's score is up 4% to 79 on the 100-point scale of the annual University of Michigan American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) on e-business Web sites. The stocks are also showing the decline for Google, Yahoo taking the upper-hand. Research has showed that Yahoo's main page has stayed the same (minus a few tweaks with time) offering all there resources on one page. This is where Google is lacking, web users have to almost dig to get to some of Google's best features.
I happen to love the simplicity of Google, and yes I do find it hard to navigate sometimes when looking for an app. that they offer, but for the most part I don't like clutter. Yahoo also has allot to offer but with much more advertising and "clutter". I would love to see Google top Yahoo once again, and to do so I think they're going to have to make themselves more available.

-------Google fell 3.7% to 78

What do you think?
